What to Wear Wednesday: A Girl and Her Neck Scarf

Neck scarfs are such a hot trend and I have to say, I'm loving it! I was skeptical at first but, it's the perfect way to spice up your basic white tee (or any other basic tee). The colors and patterns that you can find are endless! It gets so boring just putting on a necklace sometimes. I love how this changes things up. I personally think it can pull your entire outfit together like it did for me in this look!

When I visited Nashville we stayed just outside the city in a town called Gallatin. If you read my Nashville Recap post you heard me talk about it a little! If you missed it go check it out! Anyway, they had the cutest downtown area and we stopped in every single boutique there. In one of them, Waine, I found this adorable neck scarf.

I still can't get over all the cute buildings they had there! Like I love this little blue building! I still love going to big cities but, I have to say, it is kind of sad that you don't see very many cute and little downtown areas that still get good business. I personally am all about shopping local when I can, just because I want to own my own small business one day. Most the time you can find the most unique pieces there too.

Onto more details about my outfit. This white peplum tee is a staple that I've worn a ton already! If you don't have it, you need it! Seriously I've worn it so many different ways (maybe I'll do another post all about different ways to style it?), from shorts to jean skirts to jeans! It's such a good basic. I love the peplum and ruffle detailing on the sleeve. It helps set it apart from my other basics.

If you can't tell already, I'm a dark wash jeans kind of gal! All of my denim right now is from Express. Personally, I like the fit for the most part and they are the best quality! They always have sales on their denim too so, never pay full price for it! My waist is smaller than my thighs which is why I said I like the fit for the most part. I will forever struggle with jeans and shorts being to big in my waist.

On to accessories...I have never really been into accessories before, they were always something I wanted to add more of to my wardrobe but never did, until now! I feel like I have been on such an accessories kick lately but I have to admit, it's been totally worth it! I feel like I have such a basic style, not a bad thing at all but, my new found love for accessories has allowed my to spice up my basics and keep them trendy. I got these earring from Express and I think they are so fun! I did wear them in my second hole though since the gold piece is so big :(. I've already talked about the neck scarf but I loved pairing this navy and white pattern with the white peplum tee and red earrings. Fourth of July look?! It could definitely be cute for that occasion! Just pair it with shorts instead.
