What to Wear Wednesday: Lavender Lovin'

Happy humpday y'all! Is anyone else just trying to survive with minimal mental breakdowns until they get to relax on spring break?! I know I am drowning in projects and papers I'm trying to finish up before I get my not so relaxing spring break. I will say I was very blessed to not have to prepare for any midterms on top of trying to prepare for my interviews. For those of you that don't know, I'm studying fashion retailing at the University of Alabama and we are required to do a full semester internship in the fall. So, I will be spending my spring break "adulting" by traveling to Nashville, Annaston, Birmingham, and Atlanta for interviews. Don't worry I will keep you updated on how that process went and give you any advice I have to offer!

If you read my "14 Trends I'm Loving" post you know that number two on my list was Lavender! I found this adorable lavender top on the sale rack at Von Maur. Quick tip for all my fellow broke college students or parents who have expensive kids, Von Maur has THE BEST deals on their sales racks! When I did my first spring haul (I say first because I just ordered a TON of spring goodies from Forever 21 so stay tuned for that post!) I got a sweater, this top, and a bodysuit for under $30 total! Y'all don't be ashamed to shop the sales rack. I feel like some people think the stuff on clearance is all the leftovers no one wanted, or out of style pieces. NOT TRUE!! *Cue in my nerdy side real quick* A lot of items that go on sale (example: my amazing and very trendy lavender top) are due to the company ordering or reordering too much from it's vendor and they need to push this product out to move their new arrivals in (they only have so much floor space per vendor!) or, they have broken assortments left (not all sizes or colors available) so they markdown what is left. (Look mom and dad I learned something!) Anywayyys enough with my sales rack rant; moral of the story shop the sales racks to find hidden treasures like this top!

Not only is this top THE color for spring, it also has a delicate peplum detailing and simplistic bell sleeves. Basically this top just includes all of my favorite things! This is a piece you NEED for spring. It's the easiest top to throw on with your favorite pair of dark wash denim and you are ready for lunch with your girls!
